This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, assess, plan, and modify network components that facilitate customer communication implementation initiatives.
• Develop and assess remote site solutions across Humana and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare both short-term and long-term capacity analyses for switching, routing, transmission, and signaling.
• Conduct SDWAN network design, testing, feasibility studies, and cost analysis.
• Create standard solutions and outline sequences of network activities.
• Assess the effects of site growth and expansion on remote services.
• Engage in departmental strategy and make technical decisions regarding project components.
• Engineer and design next-generation SDWAN and remote site infrastructure.
• Plan and implement network solutions while establishing operational and maintenance programs.
• Enhance remote network performance, resiliency, availability, resource utilization, and innovation.
• Provide cloud network design, engineering, and administrative support for both physical and virtual networking devices.
• Utilize highly available networking technologies in diverse environments.
• Participate in on-call and implementation responsibilities during nights and weekends as required.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while mentoring, guiding, and influencing engineers.
• BS/BA, preferably in a technical or scientific discipline, or alternatively, 4+ years of industry experience plus relevant industry certifications.
• 4+ years of experience in SDWAN architecture network designs, implementations, and support.
• Network engineering certification such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, AASX, or an equivalent credential.
• 4+ years of technical network engineering experience, along with 3+ years of project leadership experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Layer 2/Layer 3 network architectural design and engineering across WAN, cloud, and data center settings.
• 4+ years of experience working with BGP and various WAN technologies.
• Significant experience in supporting large-scale environments and remote sites.
• Proficient with Cisco networking equipment.
• Familiar with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience in SDWAN overlay technologies.
• Knowledge of QoS and network security functionalities, including firewalls, VPN, and IPS.
• Capability to manage complex projects across multiple organizations.
• Experience in implementing and managing software-defined network environments, including Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, and Meraki.
• Skills in vendor management.
• Experience with data center colocation facilities and virtual network fabric providers such as Equinix and Mega-Port.
• Must pass eQIP certification background check.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Ability to convert business requirements into scalable and supportable network designs.
• Strong documentation, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Leadership mindset with a capacity to mentor, guide, and influence fellow engineers.
• High level of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
• Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for remote or hybrid employees.
