Network Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Deliver Level 2 technical support for enterprise and data-center network infrastructure.

• Identify and resolve network incidents, connectivity challenges, and service requests.

• Troubleshoot issues related to routing, switching, firewalls, and network operations.

• Monitor the network infrastructure and react to alerts and service-impacting occurrences.

• Execute authorized network configurations, modifications, upgrades, and hardware replacements.

• Engage in structured troubleshooting and escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 3 engineering teams.

• Facilitate incident, problem, and change-management processes.

• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional infrastructure teams to address network challenges.

• Maintain precise network documentation, configuration records, and troubleshooting protocols.

• Participate in network maintenance, service restoration, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with established security, operational, and change-management standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited college or university and 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering methodologies.

• Knowledge of server hardware technologies regarding content delivery performance and capacity.

• Capability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

• Ability to navigate within an office environment.

• Competence in using a computer.

• Proficient communication skills.
