πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, internet edge, VPN, remote-access, routing, switching, firewall, and network-service infrastructure.

β€’ Translate approved network designs and requirements into configurations, implementation plans, test procedures, rollback plans, and documentation of as-built systems.

β€’ Assist in network builds, site activations, office expansions, technology refreshes, migrations, acquisition integrations, and infrastructure projects.

β€’ Coordinate hardware staging, rack and stack operations, circuit turn-up, carrier connectivity, configuration deployment, cutovers, and post-implementation validation.

β€’ Validate routing, redundancy, failover, segmentation, security policy enforcement, application connectivity, and overall performance.

β€’ Monitor network health, availability, capacity, throughput, and performance; identify trends, bottlenecks, and potential risks.

β€’ Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, routing, wireless, firewall, and application access; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

β€’ Maintain configurations, firmware, patches, backups, and lifecycle records in accordance with standards and change-management practices.

β€’ Participate in scheduled maintenance and provide on-call support for critical network incidents.

β€’ Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and failover testing efforts.

β€’ Collaborate with Cybersecurity on segmentation, firewall policies, secure remote access, logging, access controls, and principles of least privilege.

β€’ Implement controls that support CMMC, CUI, ITAR/EAR, and other governmental or contractual regulatory requirements.

β€’ Maintain network diagrams, IP addressing and VLAN/VRF records, circuit inventories, device configurations, implementation records, and support documentation.

β€’ Identify infrastructure failures, configuration drift, capacity constraints, security concerns, and lifecycle risks; escalate recommendations for remediation.

β€’ Work alongside the Network Architect to implement enterprise architecture, standards, reference designs, and repeatable engineering patterns.

β€’ Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, IT Operations, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.

β€’ Engage with vendors, managed service providers, telecommunications carriers, and technology partners.

β€’ Develop configuration templates, automation scripts, and repeatable deployment methodologies.

β€’ Serve as an escalation resource for network incidents and provide technical guidance to IT personnel.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Approximately 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering or administration.

β€’ Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise routing and switching, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, internet connectivity, DNS/DHCP, IP addressing, network segmentation, and monitoring.

β€’ Experience in implementing and supporting networks across multiple sites or geographically distributed environments.

β€’ Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, redundancy, high availability, QoS, and failover mechanisms.

β€’ Proven ability to execute network implementations, migrations, troubleshooting, testing, and operational handoff based on approved designs and requirements.

β€’ Experience in producing and maintaining network diagrams, configuration documentation, implementation plans, test procedures, and support records.

β€’ Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

β€’ Ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.

β€’ Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. Β§ 1324b(a)(3).

β€’ Must be eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
