Technology Services Strategic Vendor Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the comprehensive management of designated strategic technology suppliers.

• Develop relationship strategies, governance frameworks, stakeholder alignment, and accountability for service performance, commercial value, risk management, continuous enhancement, and business outcomes.

• Oversee commercial and contract management tasks throughout the supplier lifecycle.

• Evaluate and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, service levels, pricing, deliverables, and other contractual obligations.

• Lead or assist with intricate sourcing events, renewal strategies, negotiations, and dispute resolution in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and technology and business leaders.

• Supervise supplier performance, financial and commercial outcomes, adherence to contracts, and significant risks.

• Maintain scorecards, obligation trackers, risk and issue logs, and conduct trend analysis.

• Identify deficiencies and propel remediation, improvement initiatives, commercial recoveries, and supplier-driven innovation.

• Facilitate regular governance meetings, strategic assessments, and executive escalations.

• Compile performance, contractual, financial, and risk data into executive-ready reports, recommendations, decisions, and follow-up actions.

• Work independently across various complex priorities.

• Keep documentation organized, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, enhance supplier management processes, and appropriately escalate significant issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with three years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with two years of cumulative experience OR seven years of relevant job-specific experience required.

• Three years of leadership or management experience is preferred.

• Certification from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers is preferred.

• Experience managing intricate technology outsourcing or managed service provider relationships, especially in application development and maintenance services within healthcare or another highly regulated sector.

• Proven experience in contracting and strategic sourcing, including competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluation, development and negotiation of SOWs and amendments, SLA and pricing analysis, renewals, and support for contractual disputes or remediation.

• Excellent written and verbal executive communication skills, analytical and commercial judgment, and a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and deliver precise results independently in a complex, highly matrixed environment.
