Manager – Medical Science Liaison, Cardiometabolic Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Maintain a thorough understanding of evidence related to diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, lipids, and Lilly’s cardiometabolic products and developments.

• Convert clinical trial data, real-world evidence, HEOR outcomes, and updates from guidelines into coherent and balanced scientific narratives.

• Address unsolicited scientific inquiries with thorough, evidence-based information that is non-promotional.

• Identify, prioritize, and forge partnerships with scientific and clinical experts from relevant specialties.

• Present scientific findings to healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary care teams effectively.

• Provide scientific support at national conferences.

• Engage both public and private stakeholders in compliant, non-promotional scientific discussions.

• Manage the medical profile of the designated territory, establish engagement priorities, identify care gaps, and gather actionable insights.

• Assist with investigator-initiated trials, real-world evidence initiatives, and publication efforts.

• Collaborate with Access, HEOR, Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, and Compliance teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Uphold Lilly’s ethical culture and adhere to global standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in health sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical, research, industry, or Medical Affairs, OR a bachelor’s degree in life sciences with over 5 years of relevant clinical, research, or pharmaceutical industry experience in a cardiometabolic care-related therapeutic area.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish, capable of presenting complex scientific data and handling rigorous Q&A in both languages.

• Proven ability to convey scientific evidence clearly to various audiences.

• Competence in building trusted multidisciplinary relationships and translating qualitative field interactions into strategic insights.

• Digital proficiency with CRM systems (Veeva CRM), literature databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, UpToDate, ClinicalKey), virtual engagement platforms (MS Teams), and insight/analytics dashboards.

• Willingness to utilize AI-enabled internal tools.

• Ability and readiness to travel approximately 50–60% nationally, including overnight stays.

• Familiarity with COFEPRIS, CSG, and CNIS processes is advantageous.

• Practical involvement in real-world evidence projects, investigator-initiated trials, or peer-reviewed publications is a plus.

• Experience with omnichannel and digital engagement strategies is beneficial.

• Active involvement in Mexican scientific societies is advantageous.
