This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Develop and manage valuation analyses for acquisition and partnership opportunities, utilizing DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and accretion/dilution analyses.
β’ Create and sustain comprehensive operating and deal models in Excel, incorporating membership, PMPM revenue, medical costs, and synergy assumptions tailored to value-based care economics.
β’ Lead financial and operational due diligence workstreams; oversee data rooms, coordinate diligence request lists across finance, legal, clinical, and IT, and consolidate findings into go/no-go recommendations.
β’ Draft investment committee memos, board materials, and executive presentations.
β’ Assist in deal execution, encompassing LOI and term sheet analyses, purchase price mechanics, working capital, and earnout structuring.
β’ Spearhead post-close integration planning and execution; create work plans, monitor milestones and synergy capture, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and escalate risks.
β’ Maintain the corporate development pipeline, including target tracking, CRM management, and regular pipeline reporting.
β’ Perform market landscaping and competitive analysis for new regions and adjacent markets.
β’ Act as the organizational backbone for post-close integration and manage deal analytics from initial screening to board-ready valuation work.
β’ Collaborate with executive leadership on high-profile transactions that shape Astrana's national presence.
β’ A minimum of years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development (Senior Manager: 3β4 years; Director: 5+ years with proven deal leadership).
β’ Proven expertise in valuation methodologies; capable of constructing a DCF from scratch and justifying every assumption.
β’ Advanced Excel modeling capabilities, including three-statement models, scenario/sensitivity toggles, and a clean, auditable structure.
β’ Experience in healthcare or a clear, demonstrated interest in the healthcare sector, particularly in provider services, value-based care, managed care, or healthcare services M&A.
β’ Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple diligence and integration workstreams concurrently.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of simplifying complex analyses for executive and board audiences.
β’ Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
β’ Experience with healthcare services transactions, including independent practices, physician groups, IPAs, MSOs, risk-bearing organizations, or related provider services.
β’ Knowledge of value-based care economics, including capitation, risk adjustment, shared savings, and medical loss dynamics.
β’ Experience in supporting or leading post-merger integration activities.
β’ Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous situations and build analyses without predefined templates.
β’ Proficiency in PowerPoint and creating board-quality materials.
β’ Familiarity with data room platforms and pipeline/CRM tools.
β’ Remote position based in the US.
β’ Preference for candidates located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York.
β’ Occasional travel required for target site visits, diligence sessions, and integration support (estimated at 25%).
