This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.
• Act as a strategic recruiting consultant for leaders in technology, data, product, security, and business.
• Oversee the complete recruitment process for complex and specialized positions, from initial intake to onboarding handoff.
• Establish job scope, levels, competencies, qualifications, interview strategies, scorecards, and marketing language for job postings.
• Create proactive sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates.
• Develop and sustain diverse talent pipelines, talent maps, and relationships to address ongoing and challenging technical hiring needs.
• Grasp and articulate the technical skills necessary for roles in engineering, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, AI/ML, product, and quality engineering.
• Design and enhance structured candidate evaluation methods, including technical assessments, coding evaluations, interview panels, and debriefing practices.
• Responsibly utilize recruiting technology, automation, and AI-driven tools.
• Assess labor-market conditions, competitor actions, compensation trends, talent availability, and pipeline data to provide insights to leaders.
• Track the health of the recruiting funnel and report on pipeline status, conversion rates, aging, risk, diversity, candidate experience, and progress updates.
• Offer guidance on offer strategies and closing, collaborating with Compensation, People Business Partners, immigration counsel, and leadership.
• Ensure accurate candidate and requisition information is maintained in iCIMS and other approved systems.
• Represent Mercury’s culture, purpose, and employee value proposition during candidate engagements and external interactions.
• Identify process inefficiencies and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share knowledge through mentoring, recruiting playbooks, knowledge transfer, and cross-functional projects.
• Stay updated on recruiting trends, technical skill advancements, employment practices, and applicable regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; a combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted.
• Over 8 years of progressive, directly relevant experience in full-cycle recruiting.
• Extensive experience in recruiting for technical, data, product, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or other specialized roles.
• Proven experience collaborating directly with hiring managers and senior leaders in complex, fast-paced, or geographically dispersed settings.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies, sourcing platforms, and recruiting analytics or reporting tools.
• Proficiency in sourcing, engaging, assessing, and closing candidates for technical and hard-to-find positions.
• Strong understanding of structured interviewing, technical assessment methods, candidate experience, fair hiring practices, and recruiting compliance.
• Competence with iCIMS or a similar ATS, LinkedIn or comparable sourcing tools, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration platforms.
• Ability to use automation and AI-enabled recruiting tools responsibly, with a focus on accuracy, bias reduction, confidentiality, and human oversight.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management abilities.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, adapt to changing business needs, and ensure confidentiality.
• Commitment to inclusive recruiting practices and the ability to cultivate relationships with diverse candidates and talent communities.
• May require limited travel for business meetings, recruiting events, conferences, or other talent acquisition activities.
• Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, AIRS, or other relevant recruiting/HR certifications.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of experience in technical or specialized recruiting.
• Preferred: Experience in recruiting within Property & Casualty insurance, financial services, regulated industries, or environments with complex technological and data requirements.
