This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, document, and uphold YAML-based standards, event-driven and webhook standards, schemas, configurations, and associated technical specifications.

• Ensure consistency in technical structures, naming conventions, validation requirements, and documentation methodologies.

• Examine current standards and pinpoint areas for enhancing consistency, usability, clarity, and scalability.

• Oversee version control and record changes throughout the lifecycle of the standards.

• Assist in technical processes for reviewing, updating, and phasing out standards.

• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, reference materials, FAQs, and other pertinent resources.

• Simplify complex technical ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collect requirements and comprehend industry demands with subject-matter experts, members, technology professionals, and stakeholders.

• Lead discussions to elucidate technical requirements and address differences in interpretation.

• Convey technical ideas and proposed standards through meetings, presentations, and written communication.

• Integrate stakeholder feedback while ensuring consistency and technical integrity.

• Facilitate education and communication for members regarding standards and their implementation.

• Assess YAML, webhook, and event-driven documentation for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with standards.

• Detect ambiguities, inconsistencies, or gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them.

• Establish quality-control procedures for standards and documentation.

• Maintain a centralized repository for standards and supporting documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient experience with YAML, JSON, APIs, webhooks, event streaming, Git/GitHub, or equivalent version-control systems.

• Knowledge of structured data and schemas.

• Background in creating or maintaining technical standards, specifications, schemas, or configuration files.

• Capability to comprehend technical requirements and convert them into structured documentation.

• Familiarity with documentation tools and version-controlled documentation.

• Proficient at explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Excellent editing and proofreading abilities.

• Comfortable engaging with external technical industry stakeholders.

• Ability to diplomatically challenge inconsistencies or unclear requirements.
