Technical Staff Member

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI agents and automated workflows for clinic operations, such as verifying insurance benefits, managing prior authorizations, facilitating patient intake, processing claims, and handling clinical documentation.

• Develop web and mobile functionalities for clinicians, patients, families, and internal operations teams.

• Transform ambiguous challenges into clear solutions by collaborating with operators and clinicians, drafting specifications, and delivering initial versions.

• Design services, establish data models, and create APIs while managing infrastructure as code.

• Take ownership of services in a production environment, which includes deployments, monitoring, and incident management.

• Conduct evaluations for model-facing features and monitor workflow metrics.

• Ensure the safe handling of protected health information by applying least-privilege access, avoiding the inclusion of PHI in logs, and maintaining auditable changes.

• Develop and sustain skills, plugins, MCP integrations, and review bots utilized with Claude Code and Codex.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and deploying production software.

• Proven experience managing products or features from inception to completion, transforming unclear problems into reliable systems.

• Strong full-stack proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with experience across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

• Comfortable navigating a large, established codebase.

• Practical experience working with large language models (LLMs), including tool utilization, agent orchestration, structured outputs, retrieval, and evaluations (such as LangGraph or similar agents SDKs).

• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, including setting them up for a codebase, executing tasks in parallel, and reviewing their outputs.

• Good product intuition and the ability to make UI decisions independently, utilizing a component library.

• High level of autonomy and the ability to resolve issues independently, seek context, and ask pertinent questions.

• Strong written communication skills.

• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or regulated industries, familiarity with Temporal or other durable workflow engines, React Native, production evaluations or safety checks for LLMs, agent harness/MCP server/plugin development, contributions to open-source projects, or side projects and internal tools utilized by others.
