This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Support and oversee customers in implementing optimal coating and painting application methods consistent with company standards.
• Resolve customer application challenges.
• Counsel customers, applicators, and supervisors when conditions deviate from company specifications or application guidelines.
• Record unresolved specification issues through exception reports.
• Create and uphold precise records and application reports for company products.
• Document environmental conditions, surface preparation, and pertinent coating application details.
• Attend scheduled inspections.
• Verify compliance with specifications and standards.
• Conduct quality checks on surface preparation and painting application phases.
• Engage in the sales process by assisting with product trials.
• Deliver technical evaluations, product trials, consultative services, technical analyses, process assessments, and recommendations to customers, distributors, and prospects.
• Aid the sales team by providing technical services within an assigned region.
• Familiarity with coating application techniques and parameters for marine and/or industrial coatings; 5+ years preferred.
• Previous experience in a shipyard is preferred.
• Inspection or hands-on experience with coatings in an industrial facility or environment.
• AMPP, NACE I, Frosio Inspector III certification or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, particularly in Word and Excel.
• Capability to navigate user-friendly web-based applications.
• Strong command of the English language, including reading, speaking, and writing skills.
• Must possess a Canadian driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to the USA if necessary.
• Must successfully pass Security Clearance under the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program Security Assessment.
• Annual bonus: 15%, based on individual and company performance.
• Vehicle allowance: $800 per month, along with kilometre reimbursement.
