This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Promote and provide support for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments and consumables portfolio.
• Increase sustained revenue within designated product lines throughout the Western to Midwestern United States markets.
• Identify and prioritize new client prospects and sales opportunities.
• Coordinate efforts to improve market penetration.
• Assist Account Managers in identifying opportunities, formulating strategies, and executing sales plans.
• Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and serve as a technical advisor.
• Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through to closing.
• Relay customer feedback to the Business Unit and support initiatives for new product introductions.
• Lead the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with country leads and sales teams.
• Create value propositions and utilize sales tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Monitor competitor and industry activities while introducing new products and services.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific experts.
• Represent CMD at seminars and customer workshops.
• Share account information and sales leads across commercial divisions.
• Collaborate with internal technical and application specialists to resolve customer challenges.
• Train country sales teams on assigned product lines and their positioning.
• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge while representing Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer sites.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the analytical or relevant instrument market, managing complex and high-value accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in science is required.
• A Master’s degree in science is preferred.
• Strong market knowledge and business insight into the industry sector, including key trends, is preferred.
• Experience in conducting seminars and presentations.
• A commercial mindset with a strong drive to secure new business and a relentless pursuit of opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and other languages as needed based on the assigned region.
• Proven commercial excellence in a matrix environment.
• Capability to explain and sell the technical features of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight stays.
