This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Promote and provide support for instruments and consumables within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division.
• Drive continuous revenue growth for designated product lines.
• Identify and prioritize potential new clients while coordinating strategies for market penetration.
• Assist Account Managers in recognizing opportunities and developing and implementing sales strategies.
• Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and serve as a technical advisor.
• Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
• Relay customer feedback to the Business Unit and aid in introducing new product opportunities.
• Lead the management of sales funnels and forecasts in collaboration with country leads and sales teams.
• Formulate value propositions and strategies to meet sales objectives and metrics.
• Utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to oversee accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Keep track of competitor and industry movements and introduce new products and services accordingly.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and scientific experts.
• Represent CMD at seminars and customer workshops.
• Share account information and sales leads across commercial divisions.
• Collaborate in a team-selling environment and leverage internal resources to resolve customer issues.
• Mentor, lead, and inspire the account management team.
• Coordinate with sales, field applications, lab applications, IES, and other specialists to provide technical support.
• Educate country sales teams on assigned product lines and their positioning.
• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge while positively representing Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer sites.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the analytical or related instrument market, managing complex, high-value accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is required.
• A Master’s degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
• Preferred strong market knowledge and business insights regarding the industry sector, markets, and key trends.
• Profound understanding of omics workflows, particularly in proteomics and/or metabolomics.
• Proven experience in applying mass spectrometry to intricate biological research questions.
• Experience in delivering seminars and presentations.
• A commercial mindset with a validated commitment to pursuing opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and other languages as required for the assigned region.
• Demonstrated commercial excellence while working in a matrix environment.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical aspects of scientific product portfolios.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
