This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Identify and prioritize potential new clients and sales opportunities for designated product lines.
• Expand business through the sales of instruments and consumables portfolios.
• Assist Account Managers in discovering opportunities and boosting sales revenue.
• Build trustworthy customer relationships and serve as a reliable advisor within accounts.
• Offer technical expertise and provide technical support to enhance solution processes.
• Convey customer feedback to the Business Unit.
• Participate in technical visits to Business Unit, manufacturing, R&D locations, and Demo centers alongside customers.
• Aid in New Product Introduction initiatives to enhance adoption rates and revenue returns.
• Support the sales funnel and engage in forecast discussions with country leads and sales teams.
• Utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to accurately and promptly manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Keep track of competitor and industry activities.
• Collaborate with sales, field application, lab application, IES specialists, and other internal partners.
• Provide training on product positioning to country sales teams.
• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge of assigned product lines and company literature.
• Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer sites.
• Engage in all phases of deals from prospecting to closing.
• Over 5 years of relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of consistent sales experience in the analytical/relevant instrument market, managing complex, high-value accounts is highly preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and business insights within the industry sector, markets, and key trends is preferred.
• Experience in delivering seminars and presentations.
• A commercial mindset, with a strong motivation to win new business and a proven track record of pursuing opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English and other languages as required in the assigned region.
• Proven commercial excellence in a matrix environment.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical features of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight trips.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs. without assistance.
