
Technical Sales Specialist – Hydraulics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Implement sales strategies across designated territories to meet revenue and profit targets for hydraulic and filtration product lines.
• Discover new business opportunities and foster partnerships within manufacturing, construction, agriculture, mining, and other relevant industries.
• Evaluate customer requirements, interpret engineered schematics, and suggest hydraulic components, filters, and fluid power systems.
• Conduct site visits to job locations and client facilities for system audits, troubleshoot performance issues, and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Offer technical and sales assistance to customer service and sales teams.
• Work collaboratively with sales, customer service, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams.
• Act as the primary contact for key vendors.
• Propel strategic growth initiatives, product line advancement, joint customer engagement activities, quarterly business assessments, and performance metrics.
• Create annual business plans for vendors as necessary.
• Keep precise customer records, monitor sales pipelines, and project future revenues.
• Observe competitor activities, analyze industry trends, and relay insights to internal product teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in hydraulic sales.
• Certification as a Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to effectively build and maintain high-level relationships with major clients.
• Good listening skills.
• Robust mechanical aptitude with the ability to collaborate with engineers to address their challenges.
• Value-added sales methodology.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up abilities.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team setting.
• Previous experience and knowledge of effective selling techniques and practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and drive sales growth.
• Strong time management and goal-setting capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• 50-60% travel by car is required.
• Occasional air travel may be necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
