Technical Sales Specialist – HPLC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Identify and assess new client opportunities and sales potential for HPLC product lines.

• Assist Account Managers in discovering opportunities and enhancing sales revenue.

• Foster trusted and valued relationships with customers.

• Serve as a trusted account advisor and offer technical expertise for HPLC workflows.

• Provide technical assistance to facilitate the solution process.

• Relay customer feedback to the Business Unit.

• Participate in technical visits to Business Unit, manufacturing, R&D sites, and Demo centers alongside customers.

• Support prospects for new Product Introductions within the territory.

• Contribute to the sales funnel and take part in forecast calls with country leads and sales teams.

• Utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts in a timely manner.

• Keep an eye on competitor and industry activities.

• Collaborate with sales, field application, lab application, IES specialists, and other internal partners to deliver technical expertise.

• Provide product-positioning training to the sales teams.

• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge of assigned product lines and company literature.

• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at customer sites.

• Drive growth in HPLC instrument and consumables revenue from prospecting to deal closure.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience in the analytical/relevant instrument market, particularly with complex, high-value accounts is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Strong understanding of the market and business insights within the industry sector, including key trends is preferred.

• Experience in conducting seminars and presentations is desirable.

• A commercial mindset and a strong drive to secure new business.

• A demonstrated, unwavering pursuit of opportunities.

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in English and other languages as required in the designated region.

• Proven commercial excellence in a matrix environment.

• Capability to articulate and sell the technical aspects of the scientific product portfolio.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight trips.
