Technical Recruiter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of senior and staff-level recruitment processes, from initial intake to the final signed offer.

• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to establish success profiles and calibrate role levels.

• Develop outbound talent pipelines targeting infrastructure, cloud, devtools, and data sectors.

• Identify engineers with high potential for growth.

• Communicate Helius’s systems challenges to potential engineering candidates.

• Conduct a structured, high-signal interview process using Ashby.

• Oversee the closing process, involving founders and investors as necessary.

• Enhance the employee referral program to serve as a reliable hiring resource.

• Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and assess when in-house sourcing is preferable.

• Monitor pipeline health and conversion rates, utilizing data to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

• Strengthen the talent brand through outreach, content creation, engineering events, and conferences.

• Within the first 90 days, assume responsibility for a database and performance engineer search, familiarize yourself with the engineering organization, build outbound pipelines, and evaluate the interview process and funnel data.

• Report directly to the VP of People and work closely with Engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience recruiting engineers.

• Proven track record of successfully closing senior and staff-level roles in backend, infrastructure, or systems.

• Strong sourcing instincts complemented by an independent sourcing strategy.

• Technical proficiency in distributed systems, databases, and performance metrics.

• Experience in startup or high-growth environments.

• Ability to confidently challenge hiring managers and drive alignment.

• Excellent communication skills with a commitment to follow-through.

• A proactive approach and a sense of ownership over results.

• Familiarity with recruiting in infrastructure, devtools, cloud, or trading-technology companies is a plus.

• A network within the Rust or systems engineering community is advantageous.

• Experience with Ashby and AI-assisted sourcing tools is a plus.
