This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of integrated project plans for R&D activities, encompassing timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision-making processes for Science.

• Collaborate with scientists, technical and program managers, and functional leaders to convert scientific and sensing requirements into specifications, interfaces, and escalation protocols.

• Work alongside technical leads to clarify ambiguous situations or make high-judgment decisions.

• Manage hand-offs between teams and negotiate realistic commitments.

• Utilize knowledge of algorithm development methodologies and hardware build-and-test cycles to identify gaps in readiness.

• Identify risks early and drive decision-making to resolution across R&D projects.

• Maintain oversight and change tracking for protocols, specifications, and readiness criteria.

• Enhance Science project processes by minimizing redundancy and standardizing practices to reduce friction.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience leading scientific or technical projects.

• Background in managing projects within a scientific, engineering, or product-validation setting.

• Strong preference for candidates with human-subjects research and/or wearable technology experience.

• Proficient understanding of algorithm development practices and hardware build-and-test cycles.

• Capability to identify readiness gaps in testing, validation, and readiness reviews and translate them into specific requirements.

• Ability to negotiate timelines based on actual team capacity, clearly define ownership, and provide constructive pushback.

• Experience collaborating with international, distributed teams, including adapting hours to work with European colleagues.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a solid background in documentation.

• A technical degree or equivalent experience illustrating strong technical fluency in a scientific or engineering context.

• Must reside in the United States; candidates from Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin will not be considered.
