Technical Project Manager – Child Welfare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct technical projects from initiation to completion.

• Ensure timely delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with business goals.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and stakeholders to outline project scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics.

• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, status reports, RAID logs, and communication strategies.

• Manage resources and organize meetings.

• Facilitate issue resolution and proactively eliminate obstacles.

• Monitor progress against commitments and oversee changes in scope.

• Escalate risks or barriers as necessary.

• Promote process improvements and establish best practices, tools, and standards in project management.

• Assist with Business Development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in technical project management, program management, or similar roles within a technology setting.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project/program management credential is mandatory.

• At least 3 years of experience managing technology projects for State Health and Human Services agencies, ideally in Child Welfare.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and drive cross-functional execution in a dynamic environment.

• Solid understanding of project management and Agile methodologies.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and aptitude for prioritizing competing demands.

• Proficiency in using Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft ADO.

• Experience in enterprise platform or cloud-based technology settings.

• Proven experience leading large-scale or highly complex technical projects.

• Ability to analyze data and produce executive-level reports and presentations.

• Must be willing to travel to client locations regularly.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication is required prior to onboarding.

• Preference will be given to candidates with an active Public Trust or suitability.

• Familiarity with CCWIS federal guidance is a plus.

• CCWIS project experience is also a plus.
