IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee comprehensive project plans, milestones, scope, deliverables, success criteria, and budgets within a Waterfall framework.

• Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master to monitor progress against project schedules.

• Manage projects throughout the entire life cycle: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing.

• Supervise resource planning and allocation in conjunction with other managers in a matrixed setting.

• Provide updates on program status, risks, and priorities to leadership.

• Elevate issues and offer solution-oriented recommendations.

• Cultivate ownership, accountability, and teamwork among stakeholders.

• Advocate for Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Engage in retrospectives and lessons learned sessions.

• Develop, communicate, and execute a hybrid delivery methodology.

• Maintain and enhance governance practices and tools.

• Configure, administer, and ensure the effective use of Jira, SmartSheets, and SharePoint.

• Guarantee consistency in documentation practices, including RAID tracking, status reports, and change logs.

• Review and update standards based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

• Validate assumptions and identify gaps, risks, and dependencies.

• Ensure stakeholder alignment regarding program objectives, success metrics, and dependencies.

• Establish relationships with Product, Engineering, and business leaders.

• Represent the delivery team in leadership forums.

• Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans.

• Provide executive-level reporting that translates Agile progress into milestone-based tracking.

• Capture and validate assumptions for project plans.

• Identify, monitor, and address project and program risks and issues.

• Ensure delivery teams receive the necessary support, decisions, and clarity.

• Anticipate bottlenecks and eliminate obstacles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is required.

• 5+ years of relevant project leadership experience in a hybrid waterfall/agile environment.

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.

• Proficient knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban for delivering end-to-end solutions.

• Expertise in project management tools like Jira, Smartsheets, SharePoint, etc.

• Experience in vendor management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
