This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Take ownership of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including ticket preparation, development, QA, release, and post-release validation.
• Transform product priorities into actionable delivery plans, defining milestones, responsible parties, and timelines.
• Decompose epics into manageable phases and oversee dependencies across teams.
• Proactively identify and escalate delivery risks to prevent missed deadlines.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and delivery evaluations.
• Monitor velocity, throughput, burn-down rates, and various delivery metrics.
• Ensure tickets, boards, ownership, and workflows are well-organized and precise.
• Foster collaboration among Engineering, QA, Design, and Product teams.
• Enhance processes related to definition-of-done, QA handoff, branching, deployment, and release-readiness.
• Manage the release calendar and orchestrate deployment activities.
• Oversee release readiness, making go/no-go decisions, preparing for rollbacks, handling hotfixes, urgent production releases, and conducting post-release verification.
• Ensure the completion of release notes and documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional handoffs and address dependencies.
• Collaborate with Product Managers on scope, sequencing, trade-offs, estimates, and timelines.
• Provide leadership with updates on delivery status, risks, timelines, blockers, and significant delivery metrics.
• Quickly escalate any off-track work while maintaining visibility on releases and priorities.
• Enhance the development process as the organization grows.
• 3 to 6 years of experience managing the delivery of SaaS products in an agile setting.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC and the lifecycle of modern web applications—how they are built, tested, deployed, and maintained.
• Practical experience in release management, covering environments, versioning, CI/CD coordination, hotfixes, and production releases.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, Design, and Product.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to engage in architecture discussions, comprehend PR summaries, challenge estimates, and pinpoint delivery risks.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Linear, or comparable platforms.
• Comfortable overseeing workflows, ticket quality, boards, and delivery processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—providing clear updates, running focused meetings, and ensuring clarity around ownership.
• Startup mindset: hands-on, decisive, adaptable, and adept at establishing structure where it is lacking.
• Prior experience as a developer or QA engineer.
• Familiarity with AWS-based infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and contemporary deployment workflows.
• Certification as a Scrum Master, PMP, SAFe, or similar.
• Experience with SOC 2 or compliance-driven software change management.
• Must reside in Pakistan.
