This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the execution of the Industrial Controls workstream for a specific innovation program, managing 1 to 3 projects within that workstream.
• Maintain relationships with external controls vendors, focusing on scope alignment, deliverable tracking, and issue escalation.
• Propel task tracking and milestone completion for Industrial Controls components from design to NPI readiness and launch support.
• Organize and oversee the workstream budget, scope baselines, and integrated milestone schedules.
• Develop and actively manage a risk register that addresses technical, vendor, manufacturing, schedule, and financial risks, ensuring mitigation is driven to resolution.
• Create dashboard reports and provide regular progress updates to program leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Implement schedule, risk, and governance discipline; escalate promptly when baselines are at risk.
• Collaborate with resource managers for PLC, Electrical Engineering, and Internal Tools to secure capacity and resolve resource conflicts.
• Work with Solutions owners and the product Program Manager Lead on prioritization, trade-offs, and evaluating change impacts.
• Coordinate efforts across Product, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls (PLC), Internal Tools Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field Operations.
• Lead and assist in technical reviews, design reviews, gate reviews, and executive status reviews for the scope of Industrial Controls.
• Support the processes of prototype builds, engineering validation, system integration, manufacturing readiness, pilot builds, and production launch for Controls deliverables.
• Manage the engineering change control impacts related to the Controls scope, including ECNs, BOM releases, and configuration implications.
• Identify and alleviate vendor, supplier, and manufacturing readiness risks associated with Controls NPI.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of program management standards, governance, and execution practices within the Industrial Controls Program Management.
• Establish and keep a clear workstream budget, scope baseline, integrated milestone schedule, active risk register, dashboard reporting, and a regular progress-update rhythm.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of experience in technical project or program management.
• Proven experience leading complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects involving hardware and software integrated products, robotics, automation, or industrial systems.
• Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing scale-up, and supplier or vendor management.
• Demonstrated accountability for budget, scope, integrated schedules, risk registers, and executive-ready status reporting.
• Experience working collaboratively with resource managers and engineering leads (PLC, Electrical, and related tools or software teams).
• Exceptional executive communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Preferred: Direct experience with Industrial Controls / PLC NPI, electrical design packages, and industrial automation or robotics cells.
• Preferred: Experience with Rockwell controls.
• Preferred: Background in safety systems, FAT checklists, zone sequencing, manufacturing readiness, and external controls vendor management.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or an MBA.
• Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent.
