This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Launch Director in crafting and upholding comprehensive launch campaign strategies, timelines, key milestones, and readiness metrics.
• Facilitate campaign activities among engineering, manufacturing, AI&T, mission operations, supply chain, logistics, launch service providers, and various stakeholders.
• Oversee campaign readiness and recognize potential risks related to schedules, resources, technical aspects, operations, or logistics.
• Aid in conducting launch readiness evaluations, operational readiness assessments, campaign milestones, and executive presentations.
• Organize spacecraft transportation, deployment of ground support equipment, personnel movement, and launch-site operations.
• Manage logistics in collaboration with launch service providers, transportation vendors, customs authorities, and launch-site teams.
• Create and sustain launch campaign logistics plans and operational guidelines.
• Assist with launch-related infrastructure initiatives, facility upgrades, and enhancements to operational capabilities.
• Assess launch-site facilities, support equipment, consumables, communication systems, and operational resources.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to synchronize launch activities with campaign timelines and mission objectives.
• Maintain readiness dashboards, action item trackers, risk registers, and status reporting tools.
• Support budget, resource, and supplier coordination for launch campaigns and related projects.
• Establish best practices, campaign standards, and operational procedures to enhance efficiency and mission success.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related STEM field.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management or mission management.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail regarding documentation and project deliverables.
• Self-motivated individual with an initiative and ownership mindset.
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing system requirements.
• Capacity to work in a standard office setting and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to lift weights of up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to travel to launch providers as needed during launch campaigns.
• Must maintain alertness and responsiveness during extended monitoring and operational periods.
• Experience with LEO satellite constellations is preferred.
• Familiarity with mission planning and launch operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of launch vehicles and payload accommodations is preferred.
• Experience in testing complex systems is preferred.
• Experience handling heavy loads under cranes is preferred.
• Previous work experience in a 24/7 operations environment is preferred.
• Exposure to automation and AI-enabled tools is preferred.
