Technical Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Plan, estimate, and oversee development cycles with a team of 8 to 10 developers from initial planning through delivery and retrospectives.

• Convert product management feature decisions into clear specifications and actionable work packages.

• Take ownership of delivery scope, timelines, blockers, and status reporting in instances of delivery delays.

• Design and refine the agile process tailored for an AI-first development team.

• Retain effective aspects of Scrum and similar methodologies while eliminating ineffective practices.

• Challenge developer estimates and trade-offs alongside the Lead Developer.

• Manage planning and documentation in Asana and GitHub, utilizing Claude as a daily tool.

• Report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).

• Contribute innovative ideas to product discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience leading software development teams as a Product Owner or Project Manager, preferably in a SaaS environment.

• Background in software engineering.

• Ideally, trained as an engineer and have written production code for one or two years before transitioning into product management.

• Sufficient technical depth to challenge estimates and engage in discussions with a Lead Developer.

• Practical experience with agile frameworks.

• Ability to independently modify agile frameworks when they do not suit the project needs.

• Structured and decisive mindset; capable of making and standing by decisions with incomplete information.

• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Residing in Germany or Austria, or within a comparable time zone.

• Familiarity with the creator, streaming, or TikTok LIVE sectors is a plus.

• Experience in building or reshaping a team's development process is an advantage.

• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools in planning and documentation is a benefit.
