Technical Product Manager III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Plan and oversee the execution of engineering projects for the Commercial Data Platform and associated Data Products.

• Develop, strategize, and implement software development plans while maintaining efficiency, scalability, and user-friendliness.

• Collect requirements and prioritize technical development efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Facilitate discussions with key decision-makers and stakeholders to establish a comprehensive roadmap for the data platform.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams utilizing Agile methodologies, which encompass Scrum, Kanban, and sprint planning.

• Define requirements and manage the development processes, systems, and software infrastructure for data platforms and tools.

• Collaborate with laboratory and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, enhance workflows, and lead the definition of data platforms and products in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations.

• Transform product requirements into Epics and Stories, ensuring clear user acceptance criteria are established.

• Monitor and drive development progress utilizing an issue tracking system, such as Jira.

• Foster interactions between users and engineers to guarantee that user needs are thoroughly understood and addressed.

• Develop and implement a technical strategy along with integrated roadmaps for data products, pipelines, and tooling.

• Coordinate cross-functional milestones and deliverables across both current and future initiatives.

• Provide a vision for future development emphasizing scalability and accessibility.

• Ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline by employing both technical and process-oriented solutions.

• Report directly to the Associate Director of Technical Product Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a software development setting, preferably within the biotechnology and NGS sectors.

• Profound expertise in identifying and prioritizing software features.

• Proven ability to lead complex trade-off decisions across functions and significantly enhance organizational success and processes.

• Experience in leading software development initiatives that adhere to regulated market standards (FDA, CAP/CLIA), laboratory operations, medical affairs, or clinical study operations for diagnostics.

• Background in multiomics, NGS, or proteomics is advantageous.
