This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical product roadmap and backlog for Workday Adaptive Planning solutions that support Workforce Planning.

• Balance business objectives with platform health, scalability, maintainability, performance, and technical debt considerations.

• Collaborate with business and Workforce Intelligence stakeholders to convert workforce planning strategies into Adaptive capabilities.

• Assess requirements for technical feasibility, complexity, dependencies, and impact on the platform.

• Lead backlog refinement and prioritization efforts.

• Provide insights on solution options, risks, trade-offs, capacity, and direction for the platform.

• Transform business requirements into technically feasible Adaptive Planning solutions.

• Evaluate and guide model structures, levels, dimensions, accounts, sheets, formulas, assumptions, versions, access rules, and configurations.

• Review technical designs to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Streamline solutions, minimize complexity, address technical debt, and enhance platform health.

• Execute targeted Adaptive configuration and development tasks.

• Investigate and resolve intricate issues related to configuration, calculations, model behavior, security/access, and data.

• Analyze formulas, model structures, dependencies, and data behavior to perform root-cause analysis.

• Validate configuration changes and technical solutions prior to release.

• Contribute to enhancements and resolving defects.

• Collaborate with developers and technical resources on architecture, design, requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.

• Define technical acceptance criteria and test scenarios.

• Validate calculations, model behavior, security, data movement, and overall end-to-end outcomes.

• Support release planning, sequencing, dependency identification, and readiness for implementation.

• Monitor platform health and pinpoint recurring issues, performance concerns, technical debt, and optimization opportunities.

• Comprehend Adaptive data flows and dependencies throughout Workday and the broader enterprise ecosystem.

• Partner with integration, Workday, data, architecture, and security specialists.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.

• Direct responsibility for backend model configuration and development.

• Capability to design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Adaptive Planning models.

• Proven experience in achieving measurable improvements in stability and performance.

• Ability to convert complex business requirements into scalable and technically sound Adaptive model solutions.

• Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues related to model behavior, calculations, configuration, data integrity, and performance.

• Participation in technical design discussions with the ability to advise on scalability, maintainability, and best practices.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Technical knowledge of Adaptive inbound and outbound data flows and dependencies across Workday and the enterprise technology ecosystem.

• Preferred: Experience with large-scale or complex enterprise Adaptive Planning implementations.

• Preferred: Expertise in workforce planning and workforce-related Adaptive models.

• Preferred: Familiarity with multiple Adaptive instances and Workday HCM data structures.

• Preferred: Experience in Adaptive integrations, APIs, data loads, enterprise patterns, and security/access design.

• Preferred: Skills in model performance remediation, technical debt reduction, and experience as an Agile Product Owner or in product management, along with Adaptive Planning certification or equivalent platform expertise.
