This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the vision, roadmap, and priorities for k0rdent AI Kubernetes services.
• Establish how providers deliver, differentiate, and manage Kubernetes solutions for their customers.
• Translate requirements from NeoClouds, GPU clouds, telcos, sovereign clouds, and enterprise platform teams into product strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture to outline requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cluster lifecycle capabilities.
• Oversee the Kubernetes backlog by incorporating feedback from production deployments and design partners.
• Define the positioning, packaging, and competitive differentiation for k0rdent AI Kubernetes services.
• Develop technical briefs, battlecards, and reference architectures.
• Support strategic accounts as the Kubernetes product lead.
• Represent Mirantis at events, analyst briefings, and customer advisory boards.
• Engage with silicon, networking, and ecosystem partners regarding reference architecture alignment.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, technical product management, or a senior technical position managing a Kubernetes product, managed Kubernetes service, or a large-scale cluster fleet.
• Hands-on experience with Cluster API.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes distributions and their life cycles, including k0s, kubeadm, or equivalent.
• Understanding of hosted or externally managed control planes.
• Familiarity with add-on delivery using Helm and GitOps.
• Proficiency in multi-tenancy and cluster hardening, covering RBAC, admission control, network policy, quotas, and certificate and kubeconfig lifecycle management.
• Practical experience running Kubernetes on bare metal.
• Experience with node provisioning, CNI selection, load balancing and ingress, and rolling upgrades across control planes and node pools.
• Familiarity with the NVIDIA GPU Operator and device plugins.
• Experience from the provider perspective of a service, whether at a cloud or hosting company or a platform organization that treats its users as paying customers.
• Experience in configuring or deploying SLURM on Kubernetes, such as Slinky, Soperator, or equivalent.
• Operate within some of the most advanced AI infrastructure environments currently in production.
• Work with cutting-edge NVIDIA GPU technologies, Kubernetes platforms, and high-performance networking environments.
• Contribute to defining operational standards and reliability practices for next-generation AI infrastructure services.
• Influence the integration of AI-powered operational capabilities through k0rdent AI.
• Collaborate with highly skilled engineers tackling complex infrastructure and platform challenges at scale.
