Senior Technical Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Establish and articulate a long-term vision for technical products that align with business objectives, user requirements, and emerging technology trends.

• Develop strategic product capabilities and ensure they are in line with enterprise architecture and scalability objectives.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers and Value Stream Owners to formulate and refine capability maps and roadmaps.

• Prioritize project and operational requests via standardized processes.

• Facilitate strategic alignment sessions with operational and executive stakeholders.

• Conduct agile ceremonies, feedback loops, demonstrations, and performance evaluations between business and technical teams.

• Provide data-driven updates on product advancement, user experience outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational leaders to develop compliant solutions.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to optimize customer and business value.

• Guide agile teams in the development of Epics, Features, and User Stories, including acceptance criteria.

• Advocate for agile principles and continuous improvement practices.

• Balance strategic initiatives with operational demands using structured prioritization frameworks.

• Monitor and report on product performance, KPI/OKR attainment, and alignment with company standards.

• Utilize user research, analytics, and journey mapping to uncover opportunities.

• Collaborate with UX, engineering, compliance, and data partners to deliver secure, intuitive, and future-ready digital solutions.

• Encourage experimentation and iterative development to foster innovation.

• Suggest innovative solutions based on business operations, user journeys, and technological capabilities.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of IT architecture to evaluate product-decision implications.

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into specifications and user stories.

• Mentor junior product team members and assist in onboarding and capability-building initiatives.

• Ensure team compliance with organizational policies, standards, and development frameworks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a Technology-related field.

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.

• Preferred understanding of systems architecture and business processes in the Insurance sector.

• Proficiency in Office 365, MS Azure, and Agile Collaboration tools.

• Strong knowledge of systems architecture, APIs, cloud-native services, and front/back-end integration.

• Capability to proactively identify risks and opportunities, synthesize information, and drive consensus.

• Exceptional communication abilities, including translating technical details into business impacts.

• Ability to influence without authority across senior leadership and delivery teams.

• Proven experience navigating matrixed environments, resolving conflicts, and uniting stakeholders around a common vision.

• Strong organizational and planning skills with a focus on action and outcomes.

• Capacity to develop tactical plans from strategic directives.

• Ability to convert ambiguous business needs into actionable product strategies with strong ROI.

• Executive presence and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to lead without authority in complex, matrixed environments.

• Visionary mindset that balances short-term execution with long-term transformation.

• Experience in establishing product governance frameworks, prioritization models, and digital operating rhythms.

• Experience in mentoring junior team members.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (US citizen or green card holder).
