This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead platform engineering product initiatives alongside development teams to enhance product value and facilitate long-term platform advancements.
• Develop and implement product roadmaps, strategies, and plans for platform modernization.
• Advocate for platform capabilities and initiatives from inception to execution.
• Establish and monitor measurable outcomes and KPIs that align with both business and engineering goals.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and various cross-functional teams to determine platform capabilities and convert them into actionable product specifications.
• Prioritize and oversee product backlogs, balancing modernization efforts, technical debt, operational requirements, and long-term platform investments.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to guide platform strategy and engineering support.
• Partner with engineering teams to provide scalable, secure, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Offer product leadership and direction to engineering teams and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that platform solutions adhere to established standards for quality, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management with internal back-end platform engineering products, including APIs, infrastructure, or developer platforms.
• Demonstrated success in delivering platform modernization initiatives and developing long-term platform capabilities.
• Strong comprehension of software development lifecycles, cloud technologies, and Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams.
• Analytical mindset with a proven track record in defining and measuring product outcomes and KPIs.
• Experience thriving in ambiguous settings, balancing modernization, technical debt, and long-term platform strategy over feature delivery.
• Preferred experience with authentication and authorization technologies.
• Familiarity with platform engineering, APIs, and developer platforms is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States must be provided if selected for hire.
