This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Take ownership of and effectively communicate the long-term product vision for Keet, a peer-to-peer communication application aimed at reaching one billion users.
• Conduct analysis of WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat, and other emerging competitors to pinpoint P2P advantages and develop a strategic roadmap.
• Present the product vision, strategy, metrics, and progress updates to the board and executive leadership teams.
• Establish a growth strategy focusing on acquisition, activation, retention, and virality with clear, measurable objectives.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack, which includes Pear, Bare, Hypercore, Hyperswarm, HyperDHT, Autobase, and Hyperbee.
• Collaborate with engineering to enhance NAT traversal, offline synchronization, multi-device support, large group capabilities, push notifications, and optimize mobile battery/data efficiency.
• Oversee the 1:1 and group voice/video calling functionalities, including screen sharing features.
• Define tiers of features that differentiate between stable and experimental functionalities.
• Leverage AI coding and design tools to create working prototypes and demos within a matter of days.
• Lead the product team by managing sprint planning, prioritization, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Take responsibility for deliverables from initial conception through to release, testing, and post-launch iterations.
• Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps that accurately reflect priorities and sprint commitments.
• Coordinate between engineering, QA, design, marketing, and business stakeholders to manage cross-team dependencies.
• Provide updates on status, risks, and timelines while addressing any accountability concerns.
• Manage mobile releases for both iOS and Android, including store submissions, compliance, listings, ratings, and overall release management.
• Oversee the distribution and installation processes for desktop applications across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Develop privacy-preserving crash reporting, debugging, and analytics systems.
• A minimum of 8 years of product management experience, with significant time spent in a senior or lead role overseeing a consumer product from start to finish.
• Proven ability to establish a product vision and effectively drive it towards measurable outcomes at scale, particularly with tens of millions of users or more.
• Experience in leading engineering teams that successfully deliver products and establishing predictable delivery through sprint cadences across cross-functional teams.
• Strong skills in JavaScript and React.
• Capability to read and write production code, review pull requests, and develop working prototypes.
• Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, including synchronization, offline behavior, and balancing consistency trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience in shipping and scaling mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes, and release management.
• Experience with real-time voice and video calling products, including managing quality, latency, and reliability trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools for rapid prototyping and showcasing product concepts.
• Exceptional communication skills, with experience in delivering vision and strategy presentations to boards, executives, and investors.
• Good judgment for making prompt, high-quality decisions even with incomplete information.
• Willingness to extend working hours in alignment with mission demands.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Nice to have: Experience in product leadership at a significant messaging application.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems, or decentralized protocols.
• Nice to have: Previous exposure to Holepunch, Pear, or Hypercore.
• Nice to have: Experience in growing products within emerging markets or across diverse regions and languages.
• Nice to have: Background in privacy, encryption, or security-oriented products.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Electron, React Native, installer systems, boot performance, and Linux packaging.
• Nice to have: Understanding of unit, integration, end-to-end, test automation, and performance testing methodologies.
• Nice to have: An engineering background or a degree in computer science.
• Nice to have: Experience with Git, issue trackers, and modern collaboration tools.
