This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Bring product vision to life within a dedicated team.
• Take ownership of the complete product design process, from defining problems to system behavior and user experience.
• Create clear, testable, and implementation-ready specifications utilizing AI-assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with the squad Architect to define APIs, data models, and interaction patterns.
• Convert business requirements and domain expertise into actionable system specifications.
• Develop functional software leveraging AI-assisted development workflows.
• Generate, refine, and implement product and technical specifications through spec-driven development.
• Rapidly prototype and validate solutions prior to full implementation.
• Investigate, suggest, and construct solutions when requirements are vague.
• Work closely with the Architect on API design, data modeling, and system architecture decisions.
• Coordinate with the Shipper regarding acceptance criteria, testability, and readiness for release.
• Engage in technical design discussions and make tradeoff decisions.
• Identify blockers, risks, and dependencies early on.
• Maintain shared context through specifications, documentation, and functional demos.
• Remain accountable during production and manage additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Over 5 years of experience in product and/or engineering roles within the fintech, banking, or financial services sectors.
• Background in working with core banking platforms.
• Strong grasp of complex, regulated environments and financial workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to convert customer and market feedback into measurable results.
• Capability to align business objectives with technical capabilities and constraints.
• Proven track record in designing and building systems and workflows, not merely defining requirements.
• History of delivering functional software rather than just creating documentation.
• Strong hands-on development skills in front-end and/or back-end technologies.
• Ability to manage end-to-end implementation within a product domain.
• Comfort in working across the stack as necessary to deliver comprehensive features.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, data modeling, and system interactions.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Prisma, Redis, Kafka/SQS, and AWS deployment.
• Active, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
• Proven use of AI tools for specification, code generation, and iteration.
• Willingness to experiment with tools and continuously enhance AI-augmented building practices.
• Comfortable operating within a spec-first, AI-first development methodology.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with strong communication skills and active participation on camera during virtual meetings.
