This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Define the requirements for data quality, acceptance criteria, validation strategies, and testing scenarios.
• Facilitate the comprehensive onboarding and validation of scientific data and ASM converters.
• Lead sessions to gather requirements and insights with Scientists, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and business stakeholders.
• Analyze data from laboratory instruments and identify essential scientific data fields.
• Develop and review source-to-target mappings along with data transformation specifications.
• Collaborate with Semantic Engineers to align data with the Allotrope Ontology and ASM schemas.
• Validate outputs from converters, ensuring that scientific meaning and data integrity are maintained.
• Execute and coordinate validation processes including source-to-target validation, verification of data transformations, data quality assessments, traceability testing, semantic mapping validation, and converter output validation.
• Review test outcomes, validation documentation, defects, and metrics related to data quality.
• Assist in defect triage, root-cause analysis, risk evaluation, and remediation efforts.
• Guarantee traceability among requirements, mappings, testing scenarios, and validation documentation.
• Aid in release-readiness evaluations and approval workflows.
• Create and review Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and validation documentation.
• Oversee risks, issues, dependencies, and obstacles to delivery.
• Coordinate activities among Scientific, Data Engineering, Quality, Product, Architecture, and vendor teams.
• Promote the continuous enhancement of data quality processes, validation methodologies, and reusable testing assets.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, SDLC, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Biotechnology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Management, Data Quality, or other data-centric roles.
• In-depth understanding of data quality, validation, modeling, mapping, transformation, source-to-target mapping, and data traceability.
• Proven experience in defining requirements, acceptance criteria, validation strategies, and testing scenarios.
• Experience in validating intricate data transformations and integrations.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and data lifecycle management practices.
• Knowledge of data governance principles.
• Proven ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders to discern business or scientific needs.
• Skilled at translating business or scientific requirements into precise data and validation specifications.
• Experience in documenting and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Product, Business, SMEs, and external vendors.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or drug discovery settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with scientific or laboratory data is advantageous.
• Understanding of laboratory workflows and data from laboratory instruments is a plus.
• Experience in data onboarding, integration, migration, transformation, or validation projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of Allotrope Foundation standards is a plus.
• Familiarity with Allotrope Simple Model (ASM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ontologies, semantic models, or metadata management is a plus.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, VERA, Xray, Mural, or similar is a plus.
• Experience with automated data validation or testing frameworks is a plus.
• Freelance / contract engagement.
• Remote/hybrid work arrangement.
