This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
• Act as the main resource for inside sales and customer support.
• Assess incoming leads and offer technical assistance.
• Ensure customers receive the necessary support prior to handing off opportunities to outside sales.
• Evaluate RFQs and manage the proposal process.
• Oversee Salesforce opportunities while assisting with pricing and pre-negotiation tasks.
• Guarantee timely completion of bid milestones and customer requirements.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication and proposal updates.
• Manage post-sale orders and address any issues that arise.
• Handle change orders and escalate any critical concerns.
• Administer accounts, NDA, and warranty processes.
• Organize customer events.
• Create sales reports and dashboards to support budget and growth goals.
• Collaborate with sales, proposal, operations, and customer teams from initial inquiry to order and delivery support.
• Report to the Sales Excellence Leader.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred; candidates without a degree but with relevant experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience is required, including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Knowledge of 3-phase AC Power Systems, including modular substations, medium and low voltage switchgear, medium and low voltage motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and related electrical distribution products.
• Experience with complex bid and project proposal processes as well as contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate between customers and internal teams.
• Preferred familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com) and SAP (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing).
• Understanding of configuration programs and a willingness to learn new software tools.
• Experience supporting EPCs, industrial end users, or large account sales is preferred.
• Travel expectations are less than 10%.
• Candidates must already possess work authorization enabling them to work for ABB in the United States.
