Technical Field Advisor – Field Engineering Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Assist in the installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of gas and steam turbines and associated rotating equipment at customer locations under the guidance of experienced Technical Field Advisors (TFAs).

• Aid in troubleshooting and conducting routine maintenance checks across various equipment types and models.

• Support the coordination of site operations, logistics for parts, and contractor walkthroughs to ensure timely project completions.

• Generate technical reports, update job statuses, and maintain site documentation.

• Adhere to GE Vernova's Environment, Health & Safety policies and advocate for safe working practices.

• Offer technical advice to customers regarding installation, operation, and maintenance processes.

• Successfully complete the Field Engineering Program to qualify for a full Technical Field Advisor role.

⛳️ Requirements

• A formal education in a relevant technical field or Mechanical Engineering qualification is preferred.

• Some experience in field services, power generation, or maintenance of industrial equipment is beneficial.

• Competency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical flow diagrams as well as instrument diagrams.

• Proficiency in using alignment and thermal growth instruments.

• Availability to attend training in Houston for periods ranging from weeks to months.

• Willingness to travel extensively to project locations both within and outside of Taiwan, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

• Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.

• Familiarity with gas or steam turbine equipment, or experience with other Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products such as Alstom or Siemens.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with customers and team members.
