Technical Field Advisor – Field Engineering Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Assist with the installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of gas and steam turbines, along with related rotating equipment at customer locations under the mentorship of experienced Technical Field Advisors (TFAs).

• Aid in troubleshooting and conducting routine maintenance checks for a variety of equipment types and generations.

• Help manage site operations, including coordinating parts logistics and contractor inspections, to ensure that outages remain on schedule.

• Generate technical reports, job status updates, and site documentation for customer records and future reference.

• Adhere to GE Vernova's Environment, Health & Safety policies and set a positive example for safety practices.

• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding installation, operation, and maintenance.

• Participate in structured training and practical learning within the Field Engineering Program.

• Engage in extensive travel to project sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant technical or mechanical engineering qualification is preferred, but we prioritize your practical experience and previous fieldwork.

• Some background in field services, power generation, or maintenance of industrial equipment is advantageous.

• Capability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical flow diagrams as well as instrument diagrams.

• Proficiency in using alignment and thermal growth equipment.

• Willingness to undergo training in Houston lasting from weeks to months.

• Readiness and availability to travel extensively to project locations within or outside Taiwan, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by assignments.

• Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.

• Familiarity with gas or steam turbine equipment, or experience with other OEM products such as Alstom or Siemens.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

• Effective and confident communication skills.
