This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct and interpret applicable standards and regulations for DEKRA Certification, Inc.
• Continuously disseminate information on standards and offer ongoing training for staff and auditors.
• Coordinate organizational initiatives to enhance efficiency and financial performance.
• Oversee safety and health accountability, communication, monitoring performance, managing incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight for internal team members and external contractors.
• Conduct workforce planning, coaching, development, resource allocation, and ensure alignment with business and technical goals.
• Serve as the lead auditor for AS9100, ISO 9001, and various other standards.
• Act as the designated Certification Official for both accredited and unaccredited standards.
• Maintain and expand accreditations and recognitions in pertinent market segments.
• Create market-specific presentations and collaborate with Marketing and Sales to attract new clients.
• Implement DEKRA technical certification regulations in conjunction with the Aerospace Program Manager.
• Implement accreditation requirements, which include auditor commissioning and review of audit records.
• Develop, modify, and update sector-specific processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Manage updates and ensure distribution of clear audit procedures.
• Evaluate auditor and office staff competencies and carry out onboarding knowledge, qualification, and competence assessments.
• Provide initial and ongoing training on audit processes, certification industry knowledge, and updates on technical conformity.
• Assess, enforce, and update auditor qualifications and adherence to additional requirements.
• Define roles and responsibilities for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ensure their completion.
• Facilitate the selection of SMEs and auditors to maintain impartiality.
• Create, manage, and adhere to a unified internal audit program.
• Conduct quarterly Management Reviews related to the ANAB Accreditation program.
• Manage both internal and external audit findings, follow-ups, and reporting to upper management.
• Maintain and routinely update the DEKRA Management Systems Manual.
• Attend external office audits and selected client-site witness audits.
• Document and track external findings in the Action Log.
• Draft, discuss, and finalize responses to external findings.
• Ensure timely and complete implementation of corrective changes to the DCI system.
• Master’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in quality management.
• Experience in supervising staff or teams.
• Practical experience in establishing, auditing, leading, and maintaining an ISO/AS quality system.
• Technical expertise relevant to the assigned unit.
• Experience in leading and representing the organization during external notified body audits.
• Ability to aid in the harmonization of accreditation programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work independently or as part of project teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Proactive attitude along with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 40–50% of the time, including overnight stays; occasional international travel may be necessary.
• Availability for communication across various time zones may be required.
• Ability to lead teams and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
• Capability to work in diverse client locations, environments, and conditions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts based on client activities.
• Ability to endure extensive, challenging travel and long periods of driving.
• Capacity to move and operate with a full range of motion.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. of luggage.
• Capability to perform extended periods of computer-based work and standing.
