Technical Developer Specialist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate beta projects to uncover potential issues or areas that could benefit from enhancements.

• Assist in troubleshooting technical problems and propose viable solutions.

• Offer technical support, documentation, examples, and best practices to users.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and other internal teams for in-depth analysis of issues.

• Recognize recurring inquiries or challenges and contribute to the improvement of documentation, examples, and developer resources.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies and build a deeper understanding of the Roblox ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced skills in Roblox Studio, covering essential building tools, asset management, and game architecture.

• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve frequent issues related to Roblox Studio, building, and development.

• Strong expertise in Lua/Luau scripting, along with the implementation of sophisticated game mechanics.

• Proficiency in 3D modeling, UI design, and various other disciplines within game development.

• Generally, 4+ years of active development experience on Roblox or comparable interactive 3D platforms.

• Exceptional communication abilities, allowing for the simplification of complex technical concepts into clear and comprehensible explanations.

• Competent in articulating progress, challenges, observations, and recommendations in a concise and straightforward manner.

• Must possess valid work authorization in the United States; Roblox may be unable to employ candidates with specific U.S. visa categories or provide support for future H-1B sponsorship.
