This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
β’ Conduct independent technical evaluations of proposed components against claimed commercial equivalents.
β’ Create detailed side-by-side comparisons of key characteristics derived from drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
β’ Assess and document the equivalence of form, fit, and function, taking into account application and installation contexts.
β’ Quantify and analyze technical variances that influence pricing differences, contributing to the analyst's pricing strategy.
β’ Compose the technical narrative that supports or challenges the supplier's assertions.
β’ Identify equivalent components and alternative commercial sources during market research efforts.
β’ Challenge unsupported claims with justifiable technical arguments.
β’ No travel is necessary.
β’ Degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Minimum of 3 years in component engineering, alternative sourcing, EPA/TDR development, should-cost analysis, or value engineering within an aerospace hardware context.
β’ Proficient in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages.
β’ Experience in evaluating part equivalence for source substitution or qualification purposes.
β’ Familiar with aerospace product families across both commercial and defense sectors.
β’ Ability to write clearly for a compliance audience rather than a technical one.
β’ U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
