Technical Data Center Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise the examination, coordination, and incorporation of MEP system designs within the broader project framework.

• Manage project budgets, create timelines, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.

• Confirm that work aligns with approved designs and specifications.

• Serve as the main point of contact among clients, architects, structural engineers, facilities management, and construction teams.

• Oversee MEP contractors and subcontractors.

• Track progress and perform site inspections.

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Prepare risk assessments for construction and project update reports.

• Recommend the allocation of construction funds.

• Adjust project resource requirements and disbursement timelines as needed.

• Review contracts and submitted materials to ensure deadlines are achieved.

• Lead by example and exemplify CBRE RISE values.

• Persuade stakeholders with common interests to reach consensus.

• Utilize discipline expertise and integrate it with other fields to meet team and departmental objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience.

• Alternatively, a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is preferred.

• PMP and/or LEED certification is advantageous.

• Experience in mission-critical facilities MEP infrastructure is essential.

• Strongly desired: experience in data center facilities infrastructure.

• Ability to facilitate the exchange of sensitive, complex, and challenging information.

• Capable of communicating performance expectations and overcoming challenges.

• Proficiency in Project Management software is required.

• Familiarity with Google Suite is beneficial.

• Leadership abilities to inspire team contributions towards quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in the job discipline and department.

• Extensive organizational skills coupled with a strong inquisitive mindset.
