
Technical Business Development Manager, Connectors – Defense & Aerospace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +2 more countries.
• Propel the growth of ITT Connectors within the Aerospace & Defense sectors, encompassing smart defense, military vehicles, soldier systems, civil aviation, and space.
• Oversee market trends and advancements, serving as the regional liaison for the DACH area.
• Discover and cultivate new business and design-in prospects.
• Spearhead new business ventures, product opportunities, and design-in initiatives with strategic clients, either directly or in collaboration with Sales and Distribution partners.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at major customers and within the industry.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Sales teams, Field Application Engineers, and Product Development personnel.
• Create and deliver product and application presentations that showcase the value proposition and expertise in interconnect technology.
• Identify avenues for expanding the product range.
• Provide organized market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
• Propose new products and associated technologies.
• Coordinate and manage new product development and growth initiatives.
• Oversee the Sales Opportunity Management Process within the CRM system and ensure accurate reporting practices.
• An economic and/or technical background, ideally with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Connector market experience (5+ years) may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of business development, sales, or product management experience in connectors or a related field.
• Familiarity with design-in/spec-in and purchasing processes in the connectors or related industries.
• A proven history of generating new business opportunities.
• Strong technical acumen.
• Capability to manage customer interactions directly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities across various functional departments.
• Strong organizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, and organize in alignment with strategic goals.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to engage with potential or existing customers.
• Native German speaker.
• Proficient in English.
• Proven experience within the aerospace and defense military connector markets.
