This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Meet individual revenue and sales targets through proactive communication and sales efforts for Worldwide Clinical Trials' late phase services.
• Link the Worldwide Clinical Trials team with a well-established network of contacts in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Discover new leads for potential Phase II-IV business opportunities.
• Formulate and execute strategies for individual, territory, and key account growth and retention.
• Assist in the creation of project proposals, including communication with clients and internal teams, as well as reviewing study budgets.
• Organize and participate in trade shows, handling exhibition setups, meetings, and hospitality arrangements.
• Conduct teleconferences, client meetings, capability presentations, and bid defense discussions.
• Gather competitive intelligence regarding competitors, services, acquisitions, and pricing strategies.
• Keep daily updates to the Sales Force Automation Client Contact and Mailing Database/CRM.
• Provide bi-weekly sales reports detailing client interactions, calls, achievements, and objectives met or missed.
• Involve senior management in significant business presentations and strategic account conversations.
• Facilitate interactions between sponsors/clients and Worldwide Clinical Trials team members.
• Explore new problem-solving approaches and develop solutions within your area of responsibility.
• Arrange travel and adhere to travel policies.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Mentor and/or oversee Business Development team members as necessary.
• Capability to work autonomously and maintain effectiveness under pressure without supervision.
• Exceptional communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
• Strong organizational abilities; adept at prioritizing, delegating, and assessing work.

• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business or Life Sciences.
• Master of Science (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of sales experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry.
• Clinical Operations experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sales techniques and practices.
• Understanding of the drug development process, ideally obtained within a Contract Research Organization (CRO).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and sales management software.
• Willingness and capacity to travel within the designated geographical area as well as nationally and internationally.
• Independent judgment with a clear understanding of corporate objectives and policies.
