This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead the growth of new business for Resilience’s Biologics and Drug Product services throughout the West Coast.
• Take ownership of the entire new-business lifecycle, from lead prospecting and qualification to proposal submission, negotiation, and closing.
• Develop and oversee a self-sourced pipeline involving small, mid-size, and large pharmaceutical and biotech firms.
• Identify preclinical, clinical, and commercial-stage opportunities through networking, lead-generation tools, referrals, marketing initiatives, and inbound web inquiries.
• Achieve or surpass targets for new-business pipeline and revenue.
• Foster trust-based relationships with scientific, technical, and executive decision-makers.
• Represent Resilience at trade exhibitions, industry conferences, and member groups.
• Act as an advocate for clients internally and convey customer requirements to Operations, Commercial Development, and other collaborators.
• Work together with Marketing on campaigns and the qualified pipeline.
• Keep up-to-date technical knowledge of Biologics drug substance and Drug Product development and manufacturing.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on Resilience’s capabilities and mentor junior colleagues.
• Track and report on West Coast market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
• Maintain opportunity and account information in Salesforce and provide call summaries as well as monthly updates on activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Commercial Development, inside sales, and Strategic teams regarding deal structures and lead sourcing.
• Demonstrated and progressive experience in CDMO/CDMO-adjacent sales, business development, or technical account management, with a proven track record of generating and closing new business.
• Familiarity with Biologics (drug substance) and/or Drug Product (fill/finish) development and manufacturing processes.
• Proven “hunter” mindset with the capability to build a pipeline in a new or underdeveloped market.
• Strong skills in relationship-building and consultative selling.
• Experience with contract structures and business models typical in CDMO relationships, including fee-for-service and clinical and commercial supply agreements.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the West Coast.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.
• Over 5 years of experience in CDMO/CDMO-adjacent sales, business development, or technical account management, with a proven record of producing and closing new business.
• Established network of contacts within West Coast biotech and pharmaceutical organizations.
• Prior experience in selling Biologics or Drug Product development and manufacturing services specifically.
• Ability to mentor and enable technical personnel and proposal/project management partners.
• No sponsorship or support for work authorization, including visas, is available.
