
Technical Business Development Manager – Connectors, Defense & Aerospace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Drive the development of new business within the aerospace and defense sectors and act as the regional liaison for market advancements throughout the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
• Lead initiatives in business development, explore new product possibilities, and engage in design-in activities with key strategic customers, either directly or by supporting the Sales team and distribution partners.
• Foster robust working relationships with essential stakeholders at strategic clients and throughout the industry.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Field Application Engineers, and Product Development teams to enhance business growth.
• Prepare and present product and application demonstrations that highlight the value proposition and expertise in interconnect technologies.
• Identify potential opportunities for expanding the product portfolio.
• Provide structured market and competitive intelligence while articulating the voice of the customer.
• Contribute insights and present proposals for new products and associated technologies.
• Oversee and manage the execution of new product development and growth initiatives.
• Become proficient in the Sales Opportunity Management process in accordance with the CRM system and reporting protocols.
• Bachelor's degree in economics/business and/or a technical field; preference for Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, or Aerospace Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the connector market may substitute for a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or product management within the connectors or related sectors.
• Knowledge of design-in/spec-in processes and procurement/buying procedures in the connectors or related industries.
• A proven history of generating new business.
• Strong technical comprehension of interconnect technologies.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage customer interactions directly, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, highly self-motivated team player with proven leadership capabilities across various functional departments.
• Excellent organizational abilities: anticipate, prioritize, plan, and organize to achieve and exceed strategic goals.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time and engage with potential or existing clients.
• Native German speaker with fluency in English.
• Established experience in the aerospace and defense (military) connector markets.
