Technical and Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Serve as the local technical liaison for Ukrainian projects at 3YOURMIND.

• Conduct site visits to assess technical readiness for deployment.

• Assist with installations and commissioning processes.

• Identify risks in the field and convert observed challenges into actionable solutions for both internal and external teams.

• Collaborate with local users and partners to grasp operational needs.

• Analyze technical data and translate real-world necessities into structured engineering inputs for on-demand manufacturing workflows.

• Provide support for CAD-related tasks and enhance existing technical documentation.

• Develop comprehensive Technical Data Packages to ensure consistency in manufacturing across various production environments.

• Assess manufacturing strategies and local production capabilities.

• Facilitate the practical implementation of additive manufacturing workflows.

• Deliver ongoing field training in Ukraine, onboard operators, reinforce technical procedures, and empower teams towards greater independence.

• Identify and assess local manufacturers, engineering firms, and suppliers from a technical perspective.

• Convert project requirements into actionable insights and evaluate their technical feasibility.

• Aid in sourcing decisions, site readiness evaluations, installation approvals, troubleshooting, and quality assessments.

• Document recurring field challenges, technical constraints, and potential opportunities.

• Relay field feedback to hardware, engineering, and product teams.

• Assist in standardizing technical checklists, acceptance criteria, documentation, and supplier assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, production engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient practical CAD skills with confidence in handling technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and engineering data.

• Preferably experienced with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.

• Familiarity with generative design and reverse engineering through 3D scanning is advantageous.

• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to identify gaps in technical information before production begins.

• Practical experience with additive manufacturing technologies, including FDM and/or SLA.

• Experience with industrial additive manufacturing systems is a plus.

• Previous experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, or technical service providers.

• Ability to work independently in the field while coordinating with an international and distributed team.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge gaps between operational users, engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently across various locations.

• Eligibility to meet requirements for collaboration with Ukrainian defense stakeholders and operate within defense-related settings.

• Freedom to travel between Ukraine and Poland; preference for those eligible to travel within the EU.

• Professional working proficiency in both Ukrainian and English.

• Must be available for regular travel within Ukraine and between Ukraine and the EU, particularly Poland, without any restrictions that could hinder project, training, or technical support.

• Relevant prior experience demonstrated through a portfolio or specific project examples is appreciated, especially hands-on experience managing operations in an additive manufacturing production environment and/or direct technical expertise in Ukraine.
