Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop realistic scenarios based on technical accounting memos, schedules, SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q), footnotes, disclosures, and the application of new or intricate ASC standards.

• Evaluate and contrast AI-generated technical outputs to ensure conclusions are standards-compliant and supported by defensible evidence.

• Deliver clear written feedback aimed at enhancing AI's reasoning in technical accounting matters.

• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.

• Convert technical accounting and external reporting work into structured, high-quality training data for AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in technical accounting / SEC reporting from a Big 4 firm or public company.

• Extensive, hands-on experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 805.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

• Independent contractor status required.

• Must not need H-1B or STEM OPT sponsorship.
