This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take ownership of technical revenue accounting for intricate and non-standard agreements involving customers, strategic partnerships, and marketplaces.
• Evaluate pricing, variable consideration, contract modifications, and changing commercial terms in accordance with ASC 606.
• Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, Legal, Product, and Finance teams prior to finalizing deals and initiatives.
• Provide accounting expertise and assist in shaping commercial frameworks.
• Lead the operationalization of new agreements and monetization models across billing, revenue recognition, reporting, data, and controls.
• Facilitate cross-functional implementation in areas where existing systems do not align with contractual terms.
• Manage recurring calculations, estimates, contract monitoring, amendments, issue resolution, closing, and financial reporting.
• Support revenue closing, reporting, reconciliations, disclosures, internal controls, workpapers, and external audit processes.
• Enhance processes, systems, automation, and AI-enabled improvements to minimize manual effort and operational risks.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Accounting & Operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting.
• Ideally, experience within SaaS, cloud, AI, infrastructure, or other technology sectors with complex usage-based and enterprise agreements.
• In-depth technical knowledge of ASC 606.
• Capability to independently assess complex and non-standard contracts, including modifications, variable consideration, and evolving pricing or commercial structures.
• Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Partnerships, Legal, Product, Billing, Engineering, and Finance.
• Experience in translating technical accounting findings into scalable processes, controls, system requirements, and routine accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with billing, order-to-cash processes, and ERP/revenue platforms such as Oracle, NetSuite, or RMCS.
• Proficiency in data analysis, automation, and control design.
• Strong ownership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to navigate ambiguity, articulate technical conclusions, lead cross-functional projects, and escalate high-risk issues.
