This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take ownership of technical revenue accounting for intricate and non-standard customer, partnership, and marketplace arrangements.
• Conduct ASC 606 evaluations that encompass pricing, variable considerations, contract modifications, and changing commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, Legal, Product, and Finance teams prior to finalizing deals and initiatives.
• Offer accounting expertise and assist in shaping commercially viable structures.
• Lead the operationalization of new agreements and monetization models across billing, revenue recognition, reporting, data, and controls.
• Drive cross-functional implementations in cases where existing systems do not inherently support specific terms.
• Manage recurring accounting, calculations, estimates, contract and delivery variable monitoring, amendments, issue resolution, closing, and financial reporting.
• Assist in revenue closing processes, reporting, reconciliations, disclosures, internal controls, and external audit matters.
• Innovate processes, systems, automation, and AI-enabled enhancements to minimize manual effort and operational risks.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Revenue Accounting & Operations.
• Act as a key collaborator with Sales, Partnerships, Legal, Product, Infrastructure, Billing, Engineering, and Finance teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Over 6 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting.
• Ideally possess experience within SaaS, cloud, AI, infrastructure, or other technology sectors with complex usage-based and enterprise arrangements.
• Strong technical expertise in ASC 606.
• Capability to independently assess complex and non-standard contracts, including modifications, variable considerations, and evolving pricing or commercial structures.
• Proven experience partnering with and influencing stakeholders in Sales, Partnerships, Legal, Product, Billing, Engineering, and Finance.
• Ability to translate technical accounting conclusions into scalable processes, controls, system requirements, and recurring accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with billing, order-to-cash, and ERP/revenue platforms such as Oracle, NetSuite, or RMCS.
• Experience in data analysis, automation, and control design.
• Strong skills in ownership, communication, and problem-solving.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, articulate technical conclusions, lead cross-functional initiatives, and escalate high-risk issues.
