This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver pre-sales and customer lifecycle advocacy and support for designated clients.
• Counsel potential customers and assigned account representatives on technology solutions.
• Cultivate and maintain enduring customer relationships.
• Collaborate with all internal teams while reporting to sales leadership.
• Assist in presales site operations, initial site assessments, and trial-test preparations.
• Create and present technical presentations that detail products and services.
• Partner with customers and engineers to ensure equipment aligns with system specifications.
• Aid the sales team by comprehending customer needs and offering technical sales support.
• Secure orders, uphold product standards, and facilitate product delivery.
• Build rapport with customers to ensure acceptance and satisfaction.
• Plan product adjustments to satisfy customer requirements.
• Help clients troubleshoot product usage challenges.
• Suggest enhanced products and articulate their cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in proposal generation, product positioning, solution offerings, and technical clarifications.
• Support SLA documentation, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery, requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and solution proposals.
• Engage in relationship-retention CRM activities.
• Support Partner Management in identifying and assessing partnership and distribution-channel opportunities.
• Oversee assigned account activities, including trouble tickets, billing disputes, reports, and collections, and facilitate their resolution.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 6-9 years of experience in sales engineering or IT within the managed services, professional services, or security sectors.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally with presales exposure.
• Certifications in Dell, HP, VMware, and Hyper-V are preferred.
• Experience using a CRM, preferably ConnectWise, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• In-depth knowledge and technical background in Managed Services products and offerings.
• Familiarity with IT ecosystem technologies, including Dell, HP, and virtualization technologies like VMware and SQL.
• Working knowledge of site and central IT technologies provided within service and product portfolios.
• Understanding of the technical relationships between infrastructure technologies and current applications.
• Advanced understanding of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Comprehension of architecture and design across all systems.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging conversations.
• Problem-solving skills and determination to generate and select effective solutions.
• Ability to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient communication skills with customers and various management levels.
