📋 Description

• Lead the engineering team by providing technical guidance and direction.

• Oversee project delivery while mentoring and developing team members.

• Assess project needs and create work schedules for the team.

• Assign tasks and meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.

• Collaborate with team members, management, and clients to ensure project standards are met.

• Recognize risks and devise contingency plans.

• Evaluate current operations and organize training sessions and improvement meetings.

• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, especially in emerging AI tools and capabilities.

• Adjust work schedules and address issues as they arise.

• Inspire staff and foster an environment that encourages questions and the voicing of concerns.

• Clearly communicate challenges, failures, and successes.

• Prepare progress reports and present to stakeholders.

• Advocate for the use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT.

• Promote and exemplify continuous, self-directed learning about AI and new technologies.

• Share relevant tools, techniques, and best practices with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant management certification may be necessary.

• Experience in a comparable role would be beneficial.

• Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

• Ability to build professional relationships with staff and clients.

• Outstanding communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) and experience using them responsibly in a software development workflow.

• A proven growth mindset and dedication to self-directed learning, with a keen interest in keeping up with emerging AI technologies and capabilities.
