Team Leader – Trade Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Review documents in accordance with L/C or SBLC, adhering to UCP, ISBP, ISP, applicable ICC guidelines, and internal banking policies.

• Conduct sanction checks on relevant parties mentioned in the documents.

• Manage documentation related to Commodity Trade Operations.

• Enter documents into the system and prepare SWIFT messages for advising.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Team Head.

• Communicate errors and knowledge gaps leading to document rejections with the line manager or team.

• Address customer expectations and engage in ideation and automation initiatives.

• Participate in team meetings and collaborate to troubleshoot issues.

• Implement solutions promptly and work closely with the onshore unit to ensure seamless client delivery.

• Guarantee efficient transaction processing, adherence to service standards, and quality service for both internal and external customers.

• Serve as the final reviewer of import or export bill documents and ensure the consistency of document examination standards.

• Adhere to the practices and procedures outlined in relevant manuals during transaction processing.

• Suggest actions regarding changes in laws, ICC rules, governmental regulations, and bank policies that impact import/export transaction checks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.

• A trade experience of 3-4 years is essential.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

• Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

• Capability to work effectively under pressure.

• Excellent organizational skills.
