Team Lead, Payment Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Supervise the Payment Implementation Team by converting customer documentation and requirements into actionable tasks within payment systems.

• Ensure compliance with service level agreements, establish quality controls, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Directly oversee team members and track individual performance metrics.

• Manage the implementation queue and prioritize assignments to fulfill SLA obligations.

• Evaluate unique payment requests and large-scale modifications for their feasibility.

• Act as an escalation point for both clients and internal Operations.

• Assist Relationship Management with customer engagement, resource and capacity planning, escalations, metrics, and reporting.

• Work in collaboration with Project Management on prioritization, resource allocation, and providing subject-matter expertise.

• Ensure adherence to processes and maintain audit-ready documentation.

• Confirm the accurate interpretation of contracted terms and rates.

• Design and oversee controls across Implementation and Verification Teams.

• Create and refine auditing and monitoring checklists and procedures.

• Mentor and develop team members through individual and group meetings.

• Develop and deliver training programs.

• Identify trends in the clinical trial industry along with therapeutic and country-specific payment nuances.

• Establish and enforce standards for output, accuracy, workflow tracking, and reporting metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or training.

• At least 4 years of experience in contract management or payments, preferably within the pharmaceutical or CRO sector.

• A solid foundation in global clinical trial design, contracts, and budgeting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Strong leadership abilities are required.

• Capability to challenge existing practices and enhance or develop new processes to fill gaps.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
